Originally, the Brown Elves used to be one of the Elven tribes. They came to be called Dark Elves after they learned to use the forbidden black magic and committed the heinous crime of slaughtering all the Tree Elves. An elder of the Tree Elves cast a curse upon them before his death. As a result, they cannot be active under bright light. However, after a long period of study, they were able to overcome the curse by using magical power. They live underground or in a dark forest. Compared to other Elves, their life span is shorter but they have a high reproductive rate.  

Appearance:
Overall, their appearance is similar to that of Elves. But they have a very dark skin color that seems to melt into the darkness of night. Since they have a more liberal attitude towards sex than other races, they tend to wear clothing that seems to be too explicit to a Humans' sensibility.
History:
Brown Elves were of a higher class among Elves. However, they ended up playing with black magic, the forbidden force. They were deceived by Humans' dark schemes and slaughtered all the Tree Elves who used to be their brothers of the forest. Then a curse was cast upon them turning them into Dark Elves. The history of Dark Elves after
that is smeared with blood from endless war with Elves.
